7 months

Miss Ellie is 7 months!  We happened to go to the doctor because she was having some tummy troubles earlier this week.  She weighed in at 18 pounds and 14 ounces!  I love me some chunky baby!
  • She hasn't been doing so great with sleeping recently.  She has decided she can't roll over off her belly anymore.  So, at night she is getting stuck and super mad and awake.  Basically, we are up every.two.hours.all.night.long.
  • She is enjoying food.  It has taken her a bit to warm up to it.  Currently her favorites are yogurt and avocado.  (peaches are on the least fave right now just because that is what she threw up last week)
  • She loves her brothers and is squealing a ton and laughing up a storm
  • She still babbles dada, and has started saying baba a little.  Still no mama
  • She sits up well
  • She has no teeth
  • She is wearing size 3 diapers and 6-9 month clothes

Look at those thighs!

She is so precious with her sweet giraffe

Nerd alert!

She doesn't like drinking so much, but chewing on this is fun

Those cheeks beg to be kissed

Ellie's first Marble's trip

We haven't put our Marbles membership to much use this year unfortunately.  I just am not ready for that place with three on my own.  We can navigate a lot of places with 3 on 1, but it's just a little crazy there.  So, Spence went on this adventure with us.

Miss Ellie enjoyed her first visit

She loved talking to herself

Ummm... YIKES

She sat there and talked to her daddy for a while

Sweet mercy, these boys and trains!

We love the outdoors water play

School Days

My boys are in school.  My boys are in school.  My boys are in school! I can not believe that this is happening.  Zeke is going four days a week and Ben is going two days.  So weird!  Ellie and I are looking forward to having some girl quality time.  But man am I going to miss those boys.  I know Ben is going to have some serious adjustment to not having Zeke around.  I know Zeke is going to have some real transitioning to not being with mama all the time.  And me, well, I have so many thoughts about this whole thing.  I am pro-not homeschool.  (meaning I really do not see me homeschooling my kids) But holy smokes people, leaving my boys with strangers, not being with them every moment, not supervising who they are hanging out with.  This is seriously hard stuff.  But I can do it.  I know I can.  (more posts coming on all this as I am processing it)

We made teacher bribes... I mean treats for the first day.

Zeke's first day

He was so excited to find his name on his desk

I wanted to just go and help him unpack his bag, it was so hard to let him do it all on his own!
Please, mamas, tell me I'm not alone here!

This smile is what made me know I could walk out the door

Ben started the next day, and was so very excited about going to PREschool (you gotta hear him say it)

The backpack is as big as him

I was shocked at how easily he went in, gave me my hug/kiss/noses and went on his way
This picture was taken while I was spying through the window. (totally that mom!  who is this woman?!)

Big kids

I braved combining Zeke's 4 year appointment and Ellie's 6 month.  My mom came to be extra hands which was so helpful.  Both kids did such a greart job.  Neither one cried when they got shots.  And both kiddos are in perfect shape
Zeke had to do a bunch of new things this visit.  He had the typical weight and height check, but also had a hearing test, blood pressure, heart rate, and vision test.  Zeke doesn't really like new situations, so I was surprised by how easily he just rolled with everything.  He weighed in at 38 pounds exactly and 40.25 inches tall.  His percents are 74% for weight and 50% for height.  His BMI is 75% but I don't really know what that means. He got two shots.  He jumped but didn't even cry.
Ellie was super hungry and sleepy, but still handed out smiles to everyone.  She weighs 18.5 pounds and is 25 inches long.  Her percentages were 85% and 25%.  So, she is short and chubby.  Which we knew.  I love her roly polyness.
I took some fun pictures of the two recently:

This is our favorite outfit at 6 months :)
Thanks Whitney and Nate, we love you!

Back to school, back to school

The boys are going to school this year!  They start the week after Labor Day.  Zeke will be going 9-12 Monday-Thursday and Ben will be going 9-12 Mondays and Wednesdays.  Ellie and I will be having ultimate girl mornings and are super excited about it.  We had orientation this week.  The boys actually did great.  I left them to play in the gym while I heard all the info about the upcoming year.  Be on the look out for first days pics next week

I broke my "no characters" rule and let the boys get Cars backpacks.  Yes they got matching

We had muffins for breakfast before heading out.
